Tournament Recap
In the Overall Men’s Championship, there was a tie af 68, -4 between 3 professionals – Daniel Campbell of Bellingham G&CC, Jamie Hall of PNW Golf Academy, and Charles Lee of Five Iron Golf. All 3 players are very active on the Western Washington Chapter PGA circuit and participate successfully in the PNW PGA Section majors. A playoff was not contested.
In the Amateur Division, Broc Johnson of Druids Glen and Henry Mills of West Seattle tied for low gross at -3, 69. In the Net Division, Matt Britt of Twin Lakes G&CC posted the day’s low net total.
In the Junior Division, Theodore Snyder of Canterwood and Lucas Williams of Jackson Park shared top honors with rounds of 73. Snyder is reigning Washington Junior Golf State Champion and Williams is a previous winner of the US Kids Golf Washington State Invitational.
In the Senior Division, Tom Brandes of Glendale posted a bogey free round of 69 to finish ahead of the strongest field of seniors assembled at a Spring Classic. Brandes is a Pacific Northwest Golf Association Hall of Famer.
Liz Biggs of Druids Glen won the Women’s Division. With Liz’s participation, the Spring Classic crowned a woman’s champion for the 3rd straight year.
