Entry Details:
Tournament applications may be submitted at Sage Hills GC Pro Shop or online at nwgolfreport.com. Sage Hills GC will process all entry fees. Most major credit cards accepted. Call Sage Hills at 509-349-2603.
Purse*:
Minimum $5,000 total purse to the field with winning professional man winning $3,500 at minimum with a field of just 10 professional men (same with women’s field if have 10 professional women).
Purse and Men’s/Women’s professional winning payout increases with more overall entrants and more professional entrants.
Sample Men’s Professional Payout with 20 professionals and 15 amateurs in the field:
Champion: $4,500, Runner-Up: $1,500, 3rd: $1,000, 4th: $500, 5th: $250
The sample payout above reflects Sage Hills adding in bonus funds to the purse to ensure champions of Professional Men, Professional Women and Amateur division are spotlighted.
Professional: paid in cash/check/EFT
Amateur: pro shop credit plus additional cash bonus to overall gross amateur champion within USGA limits. USGA and WIAA rules will be followed in prize payout of any collegiate/high school/junior golfer competing in amateur division.
Flights:
Gross and net play for amateur division with a 2nd flight implemented if more than 20 amateur entrants.
Media Coverage:
NW Golf Report aims to cover the Warden Open with photos/videos/content at nwgolfreport.com and on NW Golf Report’s social media channels.
Handicaps:
Handicap limit of 20. Handicap indexes in days leading up to event will be used. Following USGA handicap allowance recommendations.
Rules:
USGA rules will govern all play. The implementation of winter rules may be used depending on weather/turf conditions.
Refund Policy:
Refund requests before the entry deadline are subject to a $10 service charge. Players who withdraw for any reason after pairings have been released are subject to a potential loss of entry fee and will be handled by the Sage Hills tournament committee on a case-by-case basis.
Starting Time/Pairings:
Estimated tee time windows are to begin at either 10:00 am or 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21st and to begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 22nd. Tee time windows are subject to change. Pairings are expected to be announced by Wednesday, September 18th.
Practice Facility:
Sage Hills has recently added a warmup/practice facility. Players are welcome to use this new and evolving addition to Sage Hills. The practice facility is expected to allow for shots up to 225 yards on tournament days.
Practice Round:
Contestants receive 2 complimentary practice rounds. Please contact Sage Hills GC Pro Shop to arrange practice rounds. Practice rounds can be played on Friday, September 20th or arranged for earlier dates.
Carts:
Players and caddies may ride in a golf cart. Cart fees are included in the entry. Players may walk or ride during the championship.
Caddies:
A player may provide his own caddie. Host club caddies will not be available.
Dress Code:
Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property.
Code of Conduct:
NW Golf Report and Sage Hills GC may reject an entry application, revoke an accepted application, expel from the Spring Classic and/or suspend a player from future NW Golf Report events if the player engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the game of golf and/or public confidence in NW Golf Report.
Gallery:
Galleries are welcome to attend. Galleries are to follow all dress code and code of conduct policies.
Registration:
Please arrive at the first tee 10 minutes before your tee time.
Playoff:
In the event of a tie for Overall first place gross, a hole-by-hole playoff will be contested.
Skins Game:
Optional cash game available (info provided with tee times email leading up to event).
Saturday Night Horse Race:
Warden Roundup Horse Race on Saturday, September 21st at approximately 6:00 pm starting at Sage Hills GC first tee. Horse Race is expected to feature 2 player teams and pari-mutuel betting from Homestretch Golf.
Restaurant:
On-site restaurant at The Grill at Sage Hills. Full menu plus wood fire pizza is available Friday thru Sunday.
