3 U.S. Open Local Qualifiers – Results

May 15

TimberStone GC – Caldwell, Idaho staged by Idaho Golf Association. 4 players advanced out of U.S. Open Local Qualifying with 69 the low score posted by a trio of Idaho players in Ashton Mcarthur, Graysen Huff and Tyler Adridge. The final qualifying berth went to Derek Bayley of Rathdrum, Idaho who emerged from a 4-player playoff after posting a round of 70. Aldridge’s scorecard especially stood out as he made an eagle 2 on the par 4 5th hole and an albatross 2 on the long par 5 12th hole!

Arrowhead GC – Molalla, Oregon staged by Oregon Golf Association. 6 players advanced from a large field at this qualifier. Harrison Moir, an amateur from Lake Oswego, Oregon earned medalist honors with a -5, 66. Conner Robbins, Nicholas Watts, Ross Kukula, Landon Banks and Tom Jenkins Jr. were the 5 remaining qualifiers each shooting -3 rounds of 68.

Palouse Ridge GC – Pullman, Washington staged by WA Golf. 4 players advanced from the home course of the WSU Cougars. Wyatt Brook of British Columbia and Sam Renner shared medalist honors at -5, 66. Matt McGann of Spokane, Washington and Jason Alexander rounded out the qualifiers with 68 the score needed to advance to the Final Qualifying stage.

Girls winners included Kate Lee, Francesca Tomp and Madeleine Conser.
