Dolan Memorial Invitational

April 9

Walker Lamb won the 2024 Dolan Memorial Invitational at Everett G&CC, a high school event staged for the 21st time. Lamb posted a 65 highlighted by a front nine of 29. Lamb won the Dolan on Monday, April 8th, only one day after winning the boys 15-18 age division at a U.S. Kids Golf at Gamble Sands in Brewster, Washington. At Gamble Sands, Lamb shot a 64 with 9 birdies. Lamb is a Seattle University signee. Check out the Dolan scores at NW Golf Report Live Scoring.


Golfweek Senior Amateur

April 9

Pete Higgins of Mercer Island, Washington won the Super Senior Division at the Golfweek Senior Amateur played at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California.

In the Legends Division, Michael Jonson of Sammamish, Washington picked up the title. The tournament was played April 5-7. Check out the results at NW Golf Report Live Scoring (April 1-7).


NW Golf Report partners with multiple upcoming events in Washington

April 9

The Fort Lewis Amateur and Columbia Point Open Championship are now promotional partners of NW Golf Report.

Played May 4-5, 2024 at Eagle’s Pride GC in JBLM, Washington, the Fort Lewis Amateur will be played for the 65th time! The Fort Lewis Amateur is one of the oldest amateur golf tournaments in Washington state. The 2nd Annual Columbia Point Open Championship is June 21-23, 2024 at Columbia Point GC in Richland, Washington. The 54 hole tournament in the Tri-Cities is an open with professionals and amateurs competing. In 2023, Greg Hanson won the Columbia Point Open Championship with a three-day total of 210. Drive, Chip and Putt Finals

April 10

Connor Holden of Canby, Oregon won the Drive, Chip and Putt Finals for the Boys 14-15 age division at Augusta National Golf Club. The Finals were held at Sunday, April 7.

Holden advanced to the finals out of the Chambers Bay qualifying site. In Oregon Junior Golf, Holden won multiple tournaments in his age division in 2023.

More juniors participating at Drive Chip and Putt Finals were Niuniu Zhao of Woodinville, Washington. and Max Soterakopoulos of Everett, Washington. In July 2022, Niuniu Zhao hosted the NW Golf Report Lesson Tee where she provided her chipping tips and “The Elimination Drill” chipping drill. Check out Niuniu Zhao’s lesson tee video here.


Northwest Conference Spring Classic

April 10

Mason Remington of Whitman won the individual title at The Home Course in the 36 hole collegiate Northwest Conference event. Remington shot 69-70 for a three stroke margin of victory. In the women’s individual race, Alison Takamiya won by six strokes with a -5 total score.

Women’s Team Winner: George Fox University

Bobcat Desert Classic

April 10

Women’s collegiate tournament played at GC of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona featured a massive field filled with NW teams. SeattleU, Idaho, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, Boise State, Washington State, Portland State, and Idaho State were all in the field. SeattleU finished as the top NW team with a 2nd place overall finish.

SeattleU player Rivekka Jumagulova won the individual title, setting school records in the process, with a -12 total. Jumagulova shot 66-67-71. Check out the results at NW Golf Report Live Scoring.

Gamble Sands Invitational

April 11

High school golfers in Washington played at Gamble Sands for a high school invitational on Wednesday, April 10. Brandon Suh of Kamiak High School captured top individual honors with Spencer Moody and Theo Snyder finishing in t2. Sehome High School of Bellingham won the team title for 1A/2A schools and Mountain View High School of Vancouver, Washington won the 3A/4A team title. Top individual and team scores below.

Pasco Invitational – New Women’s Course Record

April 11

Jacinda Lee of Camas High School in Vancouver, Washington posted a new course record of 65 on April 10, 2024 at Sun Willows Golf Course. Lee, a Colorado State University women’s golf team signee, shot a 33 on the front nine and 32 on the back nine in the record setting round at the Pasco Invitational, a high school golf tournament.

Tee times and fields are announced for 2024’s first set of USGA qualifiers in the PNW. The Open qualifiers always produce intriguing fields vying to advance.
