🏜️Final: Nicole Tang and Niuniu Zhao, both of Washington, win age divisions at Wigwam’s windy U.S. Kids Golf – Desert Shootout 

🏁Final: U.S. Kids Golf – Desert Shootout from Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The Desert Shootout is a 36-hole regional championship, one of ten U.S. Kids Golf regionals in 2023.

Nicole Tang, WJGA State champion, Faldo Hurricane Series Grand Final champion and Future Champions Golf Tour National champion in her age division, added a 10-stroke win in the girls’ age 13-14 age division to her resume. Tang of Bellevue, Washington posted back-to-back rounds of 70 featuring nine birdies in 36 windy holes at Wigwam.

Niuniu Zhao of Woodinville, Washington captured the title in the girls’ 12-year-old age division. Zhao, who won her age division in this same event in 2022, posted a final round of 72 for a come-from-behind win. Zhao, a WJGA District 2 champion and Notah Begay III Junior Golf Regional champion in 2022, made 3 birdies in each round including the event’s 36th hole for a one-stroke victory.
