🏁Final: Asher Tour – Legacy Classic from The Legacy Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona. 54-hole mini-tour event on the Asher Tour (formerly the Golden State Tour) featured more than a dozen NW pros in the field.

Joe Fryer, 2014 winner of the Seattle Amateur, won the Legacy Classic with a nine-stroke margin of victory. Fryer posted eye-popping rounds of 60-65-63 for a -25 total of 198! In addition to being a past Seattle Amateur champion, Fryer lived outside of Seattle in Mukilteo for more than a decade and was a member of the Western Washington University golf team. Fryer’s win earned him a first place check of $7,500.

In the three round event, Fryer posted 24 birdies and two eagles against only three bogeys. In Round 1, Fryer started on Hole 10 and made the turn at three-under-par. On The Legacy’s front nine he came home in 28 with six birdies and one eagle. Fryer’s performance now featured in NW Golf Report’s “Eye-Popping NW Rounds – 2022” along with 75+ more remarkable rounds from NW golfers in 2022.

Also registering top ten finishes were Trevor Yu of Vancouver, BC, James Allenby of Langley, BC and John Sand of Hoquiam, WA.
