🏁Final: AJGA PING An Bank Junior All-Star Invitational from Canyon Springs GC in San Antonio, TX. 72 of the best junior golfers in the world ages 12-16 were in the field for the culmination of AJGA’s All-Star season. Of the 72 players in field for this invitational, 53 were winners of an AJGA event.
Angela Zhang of Bellevue, WA, from the high school class of 2027, dominated with a wire-to-wire victory. Zhang fired a bogey free 66 in the opening round and opened up an eight-stroke lead at one point in the final round. Zhang’s rounds of 66-70-74 secured a three-stroke win.
The victory is Zhang’s fourth AJGA win of 2022:

–AJGA K.J. Choi Foundation Junior Championship presented by Overnight Printing Seattle (Lacey, WA)
-AJGA Mizuno Junior at Big Sky (Big Sky, MT)
Among countless highlights in 2022, Zhang won the Washington Junior Golf Association State Championship and became the youngest ever winner of the Washington Women’s Amateur. Earlier in the week, Zhang was named an AJGA Rolex All-American for 2022.
Natalie Yen of West Linn, OR was also among a large group of elite juniors playing in AJGA season-ending events in Texas (AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions and AJGA PING An Bank Junior All-Star Invitational). Yen registered a t7 finish.
