❓Reveal: A word from the the founder of NW Golf Report

NW Golf Report has been run anonymously since beginning on social media in Spring 2021. It’s time to tell the loyal followers of the report just who it is that covers golf of all levels in British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. I am a NW golfer just like you. In Summer 2021, I entered a handful of local/regional amateur events and enjoyed competing alongside players that were followers of the report on social media. This is golf coverage of the NW, from the NW, for the NW headquartered just outside of Seattle in Normandy Park, WA. It’s not often golf reporting is done by somehow who has competed in many of the events being covered.

Why tell you all this?

I know how special our region is and how much championship golf is played here in the NW. Our beautiful part of the world also produces so many terrific players. The Pacific Northwest Golf Association had it right over 100+ years ago when it brought golf clubs together from throughout British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. NW Golf Report covers golf at all levels in our region and aims to always provide coverage of events that have not had a proper showcase. NW Golf Report wants to always be different than other golf coverage. The report is already different in that I haven’t just played our courses but have competed on them in events at every level.

My name is Sean Packer. I am a life-long amateur golfer and public course player who calls West Seattle GC his home course. I am a Western Washington University golf team alumni and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this new chapter of starting the NW Golf Report. I strive to make NW Golf Report be “One Home for All NW Golf” and enjoyed by all of NW golf.

A huge thank you to my beautiful wife, Amanda Packer, for her belief and support in my dreams!
