The inaugural Warden Open, contested over 36 holes, at Sage Hills GC in Warden, Washington wrapped up play on Sunday, September 22, 2024. The championship featured a field of professionals and amateurs vying for the title and first place professional prize.


Sage Hills GC embodies the spirit of championship golf in Central Washington.


Sage Hills GC, revitalized under the new ownership of Levi Venn since January 2023, served as a strong championship venue requiring shot-shaped tee shots and meticulous approach shots. NW Golf  Report and Sage Hills GC co-staged the Warden Open.

Professional David Hansen of Edmonds, Washington won the inaugural playing of the Warden Open with a final total of 145, +3. Hansen lifted the championship trophy and earned $3,700 for his victory. Hansen also won titles in 2024 at the NW Golf Report Spring Classic in DuPont, Washington and Columbia Point Open Championship in Richland, Washington. Hansen’s rounds of 73 and 72 in blustery final round winds secured the victory.

NW Golf Report thanks Sage Hills GC for their hard work and dedication to putting on a strong inaugural playing of the Warden Open. The Warden Open will return in 2025! One goal for the 2025 championship is to have pros from B.C., Idaho, Oregon and Washington all in the field.
