U.S. Open Final Qualifying

🏁Final: U.S. Open Final Qualifying from Tacoma C&GC in Lakewood, Washington. 36-hole qualifier featured 54 players vying for two berths into the 123rd U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
Jesse Schutte of Florence, Oregon earned medalist honors in advancing to his first U.S. Open with rounds of 73-66. Schutte represents Florence Golf Links and is a Siuslaw High School graduate. Schutte won the Oregon 3A High School Golf State Championship in 2004, 2005 and 2006, which included a 13-stroke win in 2006. As a professional, Schutte played in the 2014 PGA Tour Barracuda Championship and recorded multiple wins on the Dakotas Tour in 2020.

NW Golf Report asked followers on Instagram for more accomplishments and stories about Schutte. Highlights included that injuries have impacted his playing career but Schutte is healthy again. Multiple followers added Schutte once shot a 61 at Bend CC on a cold, blustery day!
