🏁Final: Oregon Chapter PGA Winter Series Match Play from Shadow Hills CC in Junction City, Oregon. The event began on January 23 with 3 stroke-play qualifying sites held concurrently around the state. On February 13-15, 32 players converged upon Illahe Hills CC in Salem for single elimination match play. Frost delays and darkness prevented the championship match from being contested until February 27 at Shadow Hills.
Championship match featured Heinly vs Wescott
Jesse Heinly, a successful collegiate player, amateur and professional in the PNW, won the championship match of the Oregon Chapter PGA Winter Series Match Play with a 3&2 win over Hunter Wescott of NW Golf Guys. In his five matches on the road to the championship, Heinly was only pushed to the 18th hole once. Heinly, past U.S. Amateur participant and multiple-time player in U.S. Open Final Qualifying, was one down thru the front nine of the championship match before winning holes 10, 11, 15 and 16 to secure the victory.
