Live Scoring Details for April 29 to May 5

April 29

Highlights of this week’s Live Scoring page include the PGA Professional Championship, U.S. Women’s Open Qualifier at Rainier G&CC in Seattle, Washington and U.S. Open Local Qualifying at McCormick Woods GC in Port Orchard, Washington. In junior golf, Washington Junior Golf Association plays its annual Junior World qualifier. In British Columbia, the Vancouver Golf Tour stages the Surrey Open. On Sunday May 5th, men’s and women’s champions will be crowned at Pumpkin Ridge’s Ghost Creek for the 38th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship.

Kitsap Invitational – High School Golf

April 30

The Kitsap Invitational was played at Gold Mountain GC in Bremerton, Washington on the Olympic Course. In the boys division, Mercer Island High School swept the team and individual titles. In the six count 5 team format, Mercer Island won by six strokes. Mercer Island’s Elliot Hoang posted the day’s only score in the 60’s with a 68. (Photos: Mercer Island Boys Golf on Instagram)


Preview: U.S. Open Local Qualifying at McCormick Woods GC on Thursday, May 2nd

May 1

McCormick Woods GC in Port Orchard hosts the region’s first U.S. Open Local Qualifier on May 2nd. The field is loaded with a range of players from past PGA Tour players, local PGA club pros, rising juniors and dreamers. WA Golf stages the 18-hole qualifier with 93 players competing for a to be determined number of berths into the final qualifying stage (generally between 4-6 players advance).
