🏁Final: AJGA PING Heather Farr Classic from Longbow GC in Mesa, Arizona. 54-hole junior event played in its traditional spot on the Spring calendar in the Arizona desert. 

Wheaton Ennis, the two-time reigning Idaho Junior Amateur champion and three-time reigning Dropping Junior champion, won his first AJGA event. Ennis of Eagle, Idaho posted an 11-under-par total of 202 with rounds of 68-65-69. For the tournament’s 54-holes, Ennis made 12 birdies against only one bogey. 

Final Round scorecard

The Texas A&M commit won by three strokes over a strong field of juniors. Additional top 15 juniors from the PNW included Alex Zhang of Richmond, B.C. at -7 in fourth and Trevor Garus of Boise, Idaho at -1 in T12. Highlighted past champions of the nearly 20-year-old junior event include Walker Cup star Ricky Castillo and PGA TOUR veteran Beau Hossler.

In the girls’ division, Michelle Liu of Vancouver, B.C. finished in t4 at -4 only two strokes behind the winner. In total more than a dozen PNW junior boys and girls were in the field.
