🤠Final: West Linn, Oregon junior golfer Natalie Yen joins an illustrious list of champions with Kathy Whitworth Invitational win in Texas (plus earns an LPGA Tour exemption)

🏁Final: Kathy Whitworth Invitational from Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. 36-hole junior girls championship named after the legendary women’s player. The invitational tournament features a who’s who of famous winners.

West Linn, Oregon’s Natalie Yen won the title propelled by a final round of 69. Yen’s rounds of 72 and 69 secured her a one-stroke margin of victory. In the final round, Yen went out in 32 highlighted by an eagle and two birdies. On the championship’s final nine holes, Yen added two more birdies on Mira Vista Country Club’s challenging course. 

Yen, a 2025 high school graduate, is a consistently high finisher in AJGA events and in December 2021 won the Future Champions Golf Tour National Championship.

As the winner of the 2023 Kathy Whitworth Invitational, Yen receives an exemption into the LPGA Tour’s The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America. The Ascendant LPGA is the longest running official LPGA Tour event in Texas and is scheduled for October 5-8, 2023 at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.
