Sage Valley Golf Club
Junior Invitational
March 16-18, 2023
🏁Final: Junior Invitational from Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, South Carolina. Located only 15 miles away from Augusta National, the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley has become one of the most desired invitations in the world of competitive junior golf. GolfWeek recognizes the championship as the #1 junior event in golf.
Anna Davis, the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur and reigning Junior Orange Bowl champion, posted rounds of 70-69-70 for a two-stroke margin of victory. It’s easy to forget that as recent as 2020, Davis was playing in the WJGA District 5 Championship at Palouse Ridge and WJGA State Championship at Spokane’s Manito G&CC. Davis made 12 birdies in three rounds around beautiful Sage Valley to finish at -7, one of only two players to finish under par. Davis, whose family has spent summers outside Spokane, defends her title at next week’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
Top finishers
Also earning prestigious invitations to compete at the Junior Invitational were Michelle Liu of B.C. and Max Herendeen of Washington.
