September 28, 2022
🏁Final: U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying from The Home Course in DuPont, WA. 18-hole qualifier with sides competing for one spot to the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball.
NW Golf Report had a number of revelations while tracking this qualifier:
-The 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball is played at The Home Course in DuPont, WA from May 13-17, 2023.
-The field was loaded. At first glance, spotted three USGA National Champions in the field with recent U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur champion Krissy Carman competing plus Lara Tennant teamed with Ellen Port.
–Angela Zhang of Bellevue, WA continued her record-breaking play in 2022, all at the age of 13.
-Alice Zhao of Irvine, CA qualified with Zhang. Zhao made headlines in August when at age 13 she shared medalist honors at the U.S. Women’s Amateur played here in the region at Chambers Bay.
-Only 1 qualifying spot! For a national championship hosted in Washington at The Home Course. NW Golf Report is rooting for alternates to get in.
