🏁Final: U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur from Fiddlesticks CC (Long Mean Course) in Fort Myers, Florida. 36 holes of stroke play qualifying were followed by a match play for the top 64 players. Krissy Carman, a Portland State golf alum, qualified as the number 5 seed in stroke play with rounds of 73-70. In match play, Carman made it to the championship match and faced off with 2021 runner-up of Aliea Clark of New York, New York. Carman won the championship match 2&1 to hoist the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur title and earn an exemption into the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach!

On August 23, 2022, Carman qualified for the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur at North Bellingham GC in Bellingham, Washington. Carman earned qualifying medalist honors with an even par round of 72.

From the PNGA, Carman’s home course is Shadow Hills CC in Eugene and she attended Portland State University where she earned All-Big Sky Conference honors. She won the 2022 Oregon Women’s Stroke-Play Championship, the 2016 Oregon Women’s Amateur and was the number one seed in the 2022 Oregon Amateur Championship.
