🏁Final: 67th PNGA Junior Boys’ Amateur from Wildhorse GR in Pendleton, OR. 36 holes of stroke play qualifying were followed by a match play bracket for the top 32 players. Jake Rodgers of Mulino, OR won the title with a 7&6 victory in the 36-hole championship match. Rodgers finished as runner-up in the 2022 Oregon Junior Amateur, made match play in the 2022 Oregon Amateur and 2022 PNGA Men’s Amateur and is consistently found at or near the top of junior golf leaderboards. Braxton McDonald of Coldstream, BC finished as runner-up.
🏁Final: 66th PNGA Junior Girls’ Amateur Championship from Wildhorse GR in Pendleton, OR. Top 16 girls made match play after the 36 hole stroke play qualifier. Jillian Breedlove of Pasco, WA won the 36-hole championship match with a 6&5 victory. Breedlove won the 2022 WJGA District 4 championship, finished in the top 5 at WJGA State, advanced to the Notah Begay Junior Golf National Championship and is truly one of the original followers of the NW Golf Report on Instagram. June Hsiao of Coquitlam, BC finished as runner-up.
The PNGA Junior Amateur featured junior golfers from BC, Idaho, Oregon and Washington in the field. It is one of the best tournaments of the year in the NW to follow and provides intriguing junior golf matchups from throughout the region.
