Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships

šŸFinal: Great Northwest Athletic Conference Menā€™s and Women’s Golf Championships from Coeur dā€™alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Western Washington University men’s golf won the conference title with a 22-stroke victory! The men’s win is WWUā€™s 10th conference title in the 14-year history of the event. In blustery, cold conditions WWU women’s golf rallied to repeat as conference champions! The Viking women posted the best score of the final round by 12-strokes to overcome a 2-stroke deficit.

Aidan Thain, a WWU senior, won men’s individual medalist honors by 16 strokes! Thain posted the fieldā€™s low score in each of the three rounds. Thain made 20 birdies in three rounds establishing new WWU and GNAC scoring records with a 199 total!

Elise Sumner, a WWU sophomore, won women’s individual medalist honors with a two stroke victory over teammate Dani Bradley. With her victory, Sumner adds a title to go along with her 2021 GNAC Player of the Year honors.
