🏆And the Winner is: 2021 NW Golf Report Awards. Spotlighting amazing accomplishments from the 2021 tournament season, in categories that perhaps flew under the radar.
You, the NW golfers, assisted with nominations and voted for winners. The winners are:
-Best Playoff: Pacific Coast Amateur at Chambers Bay goes to a 5-way playoff after 72-holes!
-Girl Power Award: Kennedy Swann, an amateur playing out of Tokatee, wins the PNW PGA Oregon Open Invitational becoming the first woman to win the event that dates back to 1905.
-Junior Golf, Best Runaway Performance: Davis Hartwell wins Oregon Junior Golf Klamath Basin Junior by 16-strokes (12-13 age) with rounds of 69-58.
-Browser Refresh Award for Best Comeback: Matthew Ruel, Gonzaga Golf, posts a 2nd round 61 to capture final US Amateur qualifying spot.
-Best Back-to-Back Scheduling Feat: Ellie Slama, Oregon State Women’s Golf, wins college event in Napa, CA right after playing Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
